Consulting Leadership

One of Epiphany’s senior leaders was engaged by an international healthcare management consulting firm to run U.S. operations and business development. Epiphany was hired because of our in depth understanding of the U.S. healthcare provider industry, experience managing healthcare operations and a proven track record of delivering business results.

Association Strategy

With the goal of becoming America’s leading health information policy and research authority, a national health information association engaged Epiphany to help set the strategy for a research and policy institute. Epiphany conducted interviews of internal stakeholders and industry experts; completed a comprehensive environmental scan; produced a report with options and recommendations for institute structure, governance, partners, funding and financials; and developed and delivered a final presentation to the organization’s board of directors.

Business Planning

Epiphany was engaged by one of the nation’s largest privately-held healthcare consulting firms, specializing in the adoption of clinical information technology. Epiphany’s client was evaluating expanding its service offerings to include implementation services for a leading health information technology vendor. Having worked extensively with this vendor and its clients, Epiphany was able to complete a comprehensive business plan for this new service line, including competitive market analysis, staffing and training requirements, and projected financial investment and return on investment. Epiphany was also able to introduce potential candidates for this new service line. Upon completion, Epiphany presented the business plan results to the firm’s leadership team and board chairman.

Business Development

Epiphany provided business development services to a law firm that has represented the healthcare industry for more than 90 years and maintains one of the largest national healthcare practices. The Chicago law firm’s healthcare partners sought out Epiphany because of Epiphany’s comprehensive understanding of the healthcare market and what it takes to successfully deliver services to healthcare providers. Specifically, Epiphany’s client sought to expand its information technology system selection business and looked to Epiphany to provide insight into the market players and help the firm respond to proposals.

Physician Strategy

Epiphany helped a national healthcare consulting firm evaluate and define the strategic services it would provide to physician clients and hospital clients trying to strengthen their alignment with affiliate physicians. Epiphany’s services included defining methodologies and deliverables, drafting contract templates, and developing sales presentations for both internal and external audiences. The scope of the services covered strategy and system selection engagements, as well as Health Information Exchange (HIE) and Stark engagements. Epiphany has particular experience with understanding the recent relaxation of the Stark laws and how that will create new market opportunities for healthcare providers.
